Widget or javascript or something to show random quotes?

I would like to show a new quote either every day or everytime someone visits my blog. I want to write the quotes myself, not show quotes from sites as quote-of-the-day and such.

Is there a way to do this when you use a wordpress.com-blog? It does not support javascript does it?
The best would of course be a easy to use widget, if there is one…

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You are correct, JavaScript is not supported, but Panos wrote a great article giving some alternatives for a Quote of the day widget:

Widgets for wp.com blogs: 6 – quotes etc.

Oh, thanks :-) I’ll have a look right away and see if I can make any sense of it…! Thanks again!

    tinatinasblog,

I want to write the quotes myself, not show quotes from sites as quote-of-the-day and such.

The best way to do that would be to create a blog that will have only those quotes as blog post titles. An example of such a blog would be I wish I wish I wish… – a blog that has no content, just a post title. This is my experimental quote blog (still very new).

You can use the rss feed of that blog in springwidgets or widgetbox and create a widget there. They give you a Flash code that can be modified in the gigya method explained by Panos.
