  I’m wondering if there’s any way to get the widget sidebar in the ‘Latest Posts’ front page for the Gazette theme. Thanks!

  Hi,

  The optional sidebar widget area on the Gazette theme appears on static pages and single posts. On a free site, it can’t be made to display on the posts page, because that page is full-width and therefore leaves no room for a sidebar. I don’t know whether it might be possible with CSS customization. You may add a “modlook” tag to the sidebar at right here if you’d like to ask about that possibility.

  Hi folks, you could maybe force a widget up this page with some hacky CSS, but it would need a plan that supports CSS, and it would likely take some work to get the results looking nice on various platforms. I recommend against it, but if you want to get WordPress Premium so you have CSS support to work with, we can try to come up with some options.
