Widget to increase/decrease font-size
-
Every time I see this suggestion, someone points out that it is already possible using keyboard shortcuts or browser tools.
Yes, but please take a moment to think about the users we are trying to serve who would actually need to increase font size. Many of mine are older, and they have no idea that this can be done using (confusing) keyboard tricks or (unknown) browser tools. Which means we have to mess up the design of our site to include ugly text instructions in a large enough font size for them to read. Which does not match the font on the page and kills design.
There’s already a WordPress.org widget – WP-chgFontSize – that does this. If it would be possible to make that widget a default option in our Widgets section at WordPress.com, that would be incredible. Thanks.

To clarify – this is so a site reader can increase/decrease the font-size as they view a page (not for a site designer to change css)

My suggestion is to send that request into staff since that is the only way you can be sure they will see it and get it on their list of requests. Personally I think it is a good suggestion myself.
