  If I have signed up for Business version of wp.com (i.e. not self-hosted) are there widgets that I can access. I want to add a widget re affiliates, but can’t see how that can be done. If it can…

  You cannot have affiliate widget links. It’s not allowed here. There is a very limited amount of affiliate blogging you can do, in fact, at WordPress.com, and no blogger-initiated advertising at all. You can use an affiliate text link within the text of a post, not multiples and not in every post.

  If you insist on affiliate blogging, then yes. It makes no sense to try that at WP.com for more than the occasional text link.
