Widget Updates?

    So does anyone know what’s going on with sidebar widgets. Which now seem to be call “legacy Widgets” As I just noticed today that all of my sidebar widgets became inactive and now I have re-set them up.

    I understand that most of the newer themes wordpress.com pushes out doesn’t use widgets. But I’m on older theme, that can still be found in the theme catalog today and their pushing this no sidebar stuff?

    Hey @jkund17, sorry about that. They shouldn’t have deactivated, but I’m glad you were able to set them back up. I have seen widgets “fall out” on some older themes, only once in a while and not with enough regularity to figure out what causes it. But once they’re in place again you’ll be good to go.

    As for changes: the WordPress code does get update regularly. We have to keep it maintained and that will mean changes sometimes. But if you’re having any further issues, please do let us know: send more details and we’ll help how we can.
