Widget updating?

So it claims I’m not using widgets in the L/R sidebar, and the side effect is that I can’t edit or delete the existing widgets, even though it will let me sort to show used widgets only. (For instance, I’d like to get rid of the superfluous Pages widget.)

Searches are a blogger’s friend ;) The widgets are just a sample set. If you add one widget, all of the samples in that sidebar will go away.

But here’s the thing: it’s not picking up that those widgets are no longer visible and is behaving as if they’re used without letting me edit options.
Also I cleared cookies/cache. Not helping. :(

I did. Deleting them made the default ones visible, but I can’t do anything to change them. Also, once I add a new widget, the old (default) ones disappear from the page but are still listed as in use (without any options).

Did you read the link I gave you? You have to add a widget to replace the default ones. And then you add the rest of the widgets that you want. Once you have added widgets, you can edit them.

That’s definitely the first place I checked. This feature used to work, so I’m pretty sure it’s an error, possible side effect of the transition to 2.7.
At the moment, my “main sidebar” (left side) is completely blank–I activated del.icio.us as a test. The widget thing–after a refresh–claims that I am using:
del.icio.us

Text–However, the only one for which I have visible options is the del.icio.us. The rest don’t even appear when I select either sidebar, even though several of them are visible on the main page.
At the least, I think resetting to default might solve the problem, but I can’t find a button to do that.
