  Can I embed a widget (or link) onto my blog without having to upgrade my account?

  There are some types of embeds (YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Google+, et cetera) that can be done without an upgrade:

  Here is a list of some of them that I found just by typing the word embed on WordPress Support (http://en.support.wordpress.com/):
