Widgets

Hello I hope someone can help me with this.

When I try to add any widgets to the left of my screen it takes fine etc but all the other ones disappear. The ones that are already there I mean. I really can’t work out what I am doing wrong.

When I am in the widget page there is the sidebar box on the right for me to drag things to and it is always empty – doesn’t show the ones already on the site. Have I missed something? When I add a widget to this empty side bar bit am I deleting the side bar that is already there? How can I add to what is present already?

Thank you. (I hope that all made sense.)

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Themes come with a set of widgets. As examples of what you can have in your sidebar for that theme. Once you add a widget of your own, you are in control of specifically which widgets you want to use.:

If you change themes, sometimes your chosen widgets of one theme will transfer to the new theme. Sometimes not. Check your inactive widgets module: you should find them there.

If you have complicated text widgets, it is a good idea to save them (in html) in a simple text file in case the code gets lost in transferring themes.

Thank you I have now managed to sort my side bar. I did not realise that the original widgets were there but just had to be put back. Many thanks.
