  why can’t I add any more widgets to my page?

  Yes. I click on “Add Widget” and nothing happens. I can edit the ones I already have but I can not add any news ones. I deleted one last night with no problem, edited another, but I cannot add a new one.

  I presume you’re using the “new” dashboard and “customize”. I have often had trouble changing settings there. I use the “old” wp-admin dashboard to drag the appropriate widget into a sidebar.
