Can you helpThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

No,
Button 2 includes four widget areas: one optional Sidebar, and three Footer areas.

To add widgets to the sidebar, use the preview in Customizer to navigate to a page where the sidebar is used. Customizer only shows you the currently visible widget areas, so you can see what you’re doing as you do it :)

It looks like you’ve switched themes a few times since your last post, so things might be different now – you now have a sidebar area on your front page, so “Sidebar” should be an option when you first open the Customizer.
The trick to finding missing widgets is that in the Customizer, you’ll only see the options for widgets that exist on the page you are currently viewing.
So if your homepage doesn’t use your Sidebar, you won’t see Sidebar as an option. If you use the links in the site preview to click to a blog post (for example) that does use the sidebar, Sidebar will appear as an option.
Basically – you can’t add widgets to a part of the site until you’re actually looking at it in the Customizer :)
