  I’m trying to make the name of categories appear on my blog; I’ve selected ‘Categories’ in my widgets.. but nothing appears on the screen. I’ve also tried the various ‘visibility’ options, to no avail.. How do I make Categories visible ?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Firstly, you have to create categories for your blog.
  To do this go to your Dashboard>Posts>Categories, and add new. If you have already created categories skip this step.

  If you wish to make the categories visible in your sidebar or footer, the go to Widgets and select Add a Widget, then Categories.

  Thank you, I’ve tried this several times but my categories (5 of them) remain hidden. I’m a bit familiar with blogs and use a professional one on a daily basis but for some reasons I’m struggling with this wordpress one; maybe this has to do with the template I’ve chosen. Thanks again I’ll keep looking.

  Problem finally solved. The widgets in this theme appear in a toggle area that was closed and way below my content when I expected it to appear at the top.. thx.
