Widgets

Hi, the widgets aren’t showing up on this blog. All you see are the posts. My widgets are missing.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi, @ds1975,
I just visited the blog mentioned above and I see widgets on the right side. Is this the blog you are concerned about? Also, is there a specific widget you are looking for?
Also, how are you viewing the blog?
-
Hi, I’m looking at https://actionplussite.wordpress.com/blog/ and not seeing the widgets on the right where they’re supposed to be. Things like top posts and social media links.
-
Hi, @ds1975,
So, good news… I can see them. On a phone, they’ll be down at the bottom but on my PC and ipad, I see them on the blog, contact, and about pages.
They are not on the home page by default for your theme:
Good news! This theme doesn’t need a front-page template — set a static page as your front page, and you’re good to go. On its own, the page displays a single panel with a full-screen featured image; your site logo, description, and navigation; and your page content.
Here is the page with info about your theme for more details:
https://wordpress.com/theme/affinityI hope this helps. Let me know if you still aren’t seeing them.

If only I spoke Greek and was a computer expert, I could understand what you’re saying there. I’m not having the missing widgets on my main blog which is FRS FreeStates Plus. I’m a contributor to Action Plus. On my main blog everything shows up on my computer, but not on Action Plus.
-
Now I wish I spoke Greek. :)
Okay, so, now I am understanding this better. Is it that you can’t add widgets behind the scene, then?
I ask this because when I visit https://actionplussite.wordpress.com/blog/ , I see widgets.
If your assigned role is as a contributor, and you are looking behind the scenes, then that would explain it. Basically:
Contributor – has no publishing or uploading capability, but can write and edit their own posts until they are published

No, because the owner of this blog is not seeing the widgets either. And I’m a contributor as well as moderator with access with the ability to update the page. For whatever reasons we’re not seeing what you’re seeing on our blog.
-
Okay, so let’s ask a staff member to take a look for us.
I am tagging this thread with the modlook tag to do this.
How do I get a Moderator/Staff reply for my question?
Some issues require staff member help. If you see or add a thread that you know needs staff intervention, you can add the modlook tag to the tags area of the thread to make sure we see it. -

Hopefully it is a browser issue but if not Staff will assist. You’re welcome. :) -
@ds1975 can you also share a screenshot of what you see? Use these steps to make one:
Then upload it to your media library:
