  how do i put widgets on my site i kept tiring but it did not work
  instead they gave me some other kind of widgets that i did not like!!!
  i need some help!

  At design > widgets, you click on the “add” link in the available widget area (left) for the widget you wish to add. It will then appear in the sidebar frame at the right. You then click the “save changes” button at the bottom of the sidebar frame to save your changes.

  Keep doing that until you have all the widgets you wish to use in your sidebar.

  Add one at a time, and then make sure that you click the “save changes” button after adding each widget. The new wordpress has some widget issues with certain browsers (IE).

  Also, log out of WP, clear your browser cache and cookies, restart your browser and then try again.
