  my widget settings are not appearing on the dashboard> appearance> widgets
  only under my site>customize>widgets which I am unable to access all settings here

  Hi there,

  wp-admin dashboard > Appearance > Widgets leads to the same place in the WordPress.com dashboard under Design > Customize > Widgets. There is no longer a separate widget section within wp-admin – it all routes to the dashboard now. So if you can access the widget settings there, you should be good to go with adding your preferred widgets.
