  Is there a way to make the widgets appear closer together on the published sidebar? They are spread out way to far on the page.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I suggest that you start filling your blog with content so the widgets have data that can be displayed. Then you can worry about spaces between widgets. For example space under the Facebook likebox widget will adjust and be filled as more avatar images appear in it.
