Widgets adding badges

Why won’t it let me add a “badge” to my Blog? Every time I enter the code for the badge and click save, it disappears. This was sooo easy with Blogger! What is wrong ?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If you wish you can also use the generator to create a “grab my button” code for your friends to use, and place it in your sidebar in a text widget.

It does not appear to be a blogger blog. But that shouldn’t make any difference, a badge with a code is a badge.

That’s not accurate. Some of the codes used on Blogger blogs badges cannot be used here. Let’s not waste any time as you already have had to wait. If you post the code here between backticks so it will fully display here in a forum thread I’ll examine it so we can uncover why it’s not operational for you.
The backtick ` not to be confused with the single quote mark ‘ is located to the left of the number 1 key in lower case under the tilde ~.

That’s basic image code. I see no reason it wouldn’t work if put in to a text widget.
Where are you trying to enter the code?
