Widgets at the bottom of full screen post page?

  I am using the theme Twenty Twelve and I would like to use the full page for my post with out the sidebar. This I have managed, but is it possible to place some widgets at the bottom (foot ) of the page? Thanks

  My understanding is the only way to do this is make a separate page using the “front page template” and put the widgets at the bottom of that page. The new page does not have to be set up as a static front page, but it may be if desired. It is also possible to change an existing page to that format. My blog is set up that way, and I have not seen anyone else using Twenty Twelve that way.
