widgets cant be used

Hi everyone. greetings from Cape Town South Africa, I recently installed WordPress and created a website. everything went great until I started use the widgets in elementor to drag and drop onto the page. it kept giving me a circle with a red line through, then I thought this is an elementor issue and im trying to get this sorted with them. after that I downloaded the astra themes and imported the starter sites when it gets to the content import section it just takes forever, its says it should take max 10 minutes but I literally let it run over night and nothing happens. ive checked with my hosting company and speaking to the elementor people but I just wanted to know if it can be a word press issue as its with astra and elementor that theres issues and the commonality is wordpress

I’m afraid that your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted elsewhere.
Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers.
