Widgets disappeared from Main Page

    I remember setting up widgets for my main page: search, a dropdown for categories, and a dropdown for archives. Somehow they’ve disappeared!

    I tried adding the widgets again, but they appear on all pages (I only want them on the main page). And I cannot get the category and archive widgets to appear with a dropdown.

    Can you pls help?

    Are your widgets listed in Inactive by chance? We did have a bug a little while ago that deactivated widgets.

    If that is what happened here, should be able to look at inactive widgets, then move them to the right widget area if needed. They also have visibility settings you can double check.

    Can you give that a try, or send more details?

    Not sure what you mean by “inactive widgets”.

    This is a different issue than the disappearing widgets, but none of my widgets are visible in the widgets page. I have one current widget (secondary) and it does not display until I click in the Secondary widget box. When I can finally see the code for the widget, it displays incorrectly. This is on FF.<br><br>

    But that’s another issue.

    As for the disappearing widgets, I guess all I am asking now is how to add the search/category/archive widgets to the main page only.

    Well.. nevermind. I found the inactive widgets, and moved them to Secondary. But now my Custom HMTL widget is gone!
    I do not have a copy of this.. so I am hosed now.
    Do you have a backup from this morning.. or last night?

    nvm again.
    I was able to resurrect the code from the screenshot that I took.
    I have one more issue… after recreating the Custom HTML widget, I can no longer add a title and change the visibility.
    But I will close this as resolved and open another issue.
