Widgets do not appear to work
-
I changed over to the coraline theme today and liked how it looked and felt. I have a problem though when I started customizing the widgets.
I have some links set up in my blog roll, if I leave the widgets uncustomized everything works just fine, I see my links.
If I customize the widgets by pulling widgets into any of the widgets area all the default widgets disappear which is no problem as I can add them in also. However, the one widget that I cannot seem to add is the blogroll/links widget. Is this something I’m doing wrong? Is it just broken? I have also tried doing the same thing with the inouvo theme and the same thing occurs, as soon as links is added as a custom widget, it does not work. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

When we change themes what we see is a default sidebar display. They are not actual widgets. So what we do is go here > Appearance > Widgets and move all the widgets we used before out of the “Inactive Widgets” and place them in the sidebar and/or bottom widget areas to override the default display.

Here at WordPress.com we do not have a theme called “inouvo theme “. That combined with the fact you have not supplied an active link to the blog in question makes me think you are actually asking about a WordPress.org self hosted install. If so then you are posting to the wrong support forum and ought to be posting here > http://wordpress.org/support/
For clarity read > http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

If you are asking about a free blog being free hosted by WordPress.com then please post an active link starting with http:// to the blog in question when you post to this forum.
