Widgets do not show up on my blog's main page

  I am using the Suburbia theme and I cannot add widgets on the main page of my blog.

  The show up on individual posts, but on the main page there is no “follow blog by email” or “Facebook Page”.

  I’ve tried in the widget menu, but I can only add them for the individual posts and I cannot see any option for the main page.

  I would appreciate your help with this matter.

  Suburbia supports five widget optional areas — four in the footer and one in the sidebar in single post and page views. http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/suburbia/

  Note: The theme is not designed to display widgets on the front page.

  Thanks for the help. I didn’t know the theme didn’t allow for widgets on the front page.

  Would it be possible to somehow get something on the front page that would allow people to Like the FB page or follow by email. Is there anything you could suggest or there’s nothing I can do about that.
