Widgets don’t appear on Iphone browser

    Hello:

    I’ve noticed that when I view my blog in the broswer of my iphone, the side bar and widgets do not appear and the top navigation bar is instead a drop down. Also the posts are summaries. All in all the format of the blog, though workable is completely different from what I see in a web browser.

    I’ve seen other WP blogs that look exactly the same on the iphone browser as they do on a web one. Is there somethng I can ‘activate’ to enable this or is it a limitation of the theme I have?? I can’t seem to find anything about this. :(

    My blog is http://cravenmaven.wordpress.com

    Thanks in advance for any help.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    I’m not sure (don’t have an iPhone to test it out), but it may have something to do with this:
    Appearance—>Extras—>”Display a mobile theme when this blog is viewed with a mobile browser” is checked.

    My daughter with the iPhone mentioned something about my blog looking different on the mobile device from the way it looks on a laptop.

    1Tess! You are my new favourite! That’s exactly what it was. I unchecked the box and it now looks a-ok in the phone browser. Thanks so much.

    @cravenmaven

    Great! and you are welcome!

    I can’t find the wp blog post where they first introduced the feature, but having a truncated mobile display makes looking at wp blogs faster. I think that is the logic behind that option.

    Lucky you with an iPhone!!
