Widgets don’t drag and drop

Please help. I’m using WP 2.3.1 and automatic says this version doesn’t need a sidebar widgets because it’s already in the core of the new version.
But why i can’t drag my widgets and drop them? I tried uploading the sidebar widget but when I activate it, I get error and the plugin can’t be activated.
What’s the problem? thanks.

i think you have a self-hosted blog, in which case you have to go to http://wordpress.org/support to place your query. this is the forum for bloggers hosted by wp.com. please correct me if i’m mistaken.

I have the same problem Adara has (on both my self hosted blog and on the blog hosted at wp.com)…

Safari, Opera and IE6 do not play well with wordpress. Firefox 2.0.0.11 and IE7 do play well with wordpress.(1) Which browser and which version of it are you using?
(2) Have you reloaded your browser? http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/09/06/force-refresh/
(3) Have you cleared your cookies? step 1. log out
step 2. clear your browser cookie
step 3. clear your browser cache/temporary internet files
step 4. close your browser
step 5. go back and test
