widgets don't show up

  I feel very stupid. I have followed the clear instructions to add widgets to the blog. I have dragged them to the footer sidebar, and they show up in there. But they don’t show up on the blog at all. What am I missing?

  Hi there. I can see widgets in the footer at the bottom of your site. See this screenshot: http://snag.gy/kHls9.jpg

  Are those the widgets you added? Or is it supposed to display something else there?

  So you’re right! I kept looking at the bar on the left hand site and never scrolled down far enough to see the widgets. Thank you kokkieh!

  You’re welcome. I see your theme only supports footer widgets, so they will only ever appear at the very bottom. If you want widgets to appear alongside your content you’ll need to pick a theme with a multiple-column layout. However, you do have three footer widget areas, so consider moving some of the widgets to the other widget areas to spread them out across the bottom.

  Thank you! I’m not very good at this so every step is laborious. It took me a week to just think of asking this forum. I expect I’ll be back …..

  LOL! None of us were good at this when we started, but luckily we all have the ability to learn :)

  You’re always welcome to ask for help in the forum, but also keep in mind your question has probably been asked before, so make sure to also use the search function at the top of the forum and in the support section.
