widgets duplicating in second side bar

  Has anyone had problems with widgets duplicating in 3 column templates? I have been trying for hours to set up my new blog and between the image problems and now what appears to be a bug that causes certain widgets to either duplicate themselves in a second side bar or be unremovable, I am ready to throw in the towel.

  I am using the Digg 3 Column template by Small Potato and in sidebar 2 one of the same widgets that is in sidebar 1 has just appeared all of a sudden and the calendar widget that I added cannot be removed. I am also having issues with widgets where if I add one new widget to the ones that came in the template, all of my widgets are removed and replaced by the one single widget I added. In order for the original widgets to remain I must first delete the new one.
