Widgets for charities and public appeals…

    Hi there, I am not sure if the same question hasn’t been asked before. In my blog now and then I add a widget or two that are actual links to some cause of charity, for instance recently I added one about the Pakistan floods with a link to the Australian Red Cross.
    Can I have a number of widgets of this type (charities and other worthy causes) on my blog, or this would be against Word Press’ rules? The widgets will be simple links to accredited sites.

    I’m not staff, but wordpress in general has never as far as I know said you cannot support charities and such.

    I’ll tag this thread for staff attention since they are not in the office right now, but they are monitoring the forums.

    Having a widget asking people to check out or donate such causes is perfectly fine.
