    Hi,
    I would like to know if in order to add a Widget on my blog, I must upgrade my account to the premiums ones? I have been trying to add a few, and there is one specific that I want, (Safe Creative logo) But for some reason I can’t.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    We cannot use JavaScript widgets or iframes and there is no upgrade that changes that. Also you failed to provide the code I cannot assist you with a specific widget until you do. Please read https://en.support.wordpress.com/code/

    If the Safe creative logo is just an image then you can add a widget for that. Widgets are in Appearance, which you can get to from the dashboard. Text widgets can be used to add limited HTML such as a link to a Web page explaining it

    Didisrael – Thank you for your answer. Yes, the Safe Creative logo, is an image provided by them, at the momento that you register your blog with them. In order to complete the validation of the registration, I must add the logo as a widget of the left side of the blog… Which I am still figuring how to do so.

    Timethief- The widget in question, it is not an animated one, it’s only an image (logo in this case).

    The code is this one: <a href=”http://www.safecreative.org/userfeed/1502090159334″
    target=”8f3b3599-2a8f-3722-a677-c72c6060087d”><img
    src=”http://resources.safecreative.org/userfeed/1502090159334/label/standard-
    150″ style=”border:0;” alt=”Safe Creative #1502090159334″/>

    And thank you both for your quick response. :)

    Just paste the code above into a Text widget and add a title. I’ve done similar with 2 logos in the sidebar on http://traumadissociation.wordpress.com

    Here’s the full instructions https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/create-your-own-widget/

    Didisrael- Thank you so much for your help! Do you know how to make it appear on the left side, that’s the criteria that they are asking for the registration to be approve. :)

    Ok, you are going to find me annoying with this topic, and with questions…

    But for some reason it is not working for me. I have done everything that it is written in the links that you have sent me. When I use the Text widget, I paste the code of the logo, then I click on the Show section, then I select underneath it and I select Category, and finally All category pages. After that I hit the “save” button, and nothing.

    After that, seeing that it is not working, I have been truing with the Image widget, I have an image title for it to be above the logo, then just under it, there is the URL section, where I have to paste the code, or address. I fill in the other sections, and when I hit that “save” button, the URL section goes blank. And I have been following setp by step, and still nothing.

    Any clues on what I might be doing wrong?

    @misszacarias, maybe a regular forum volunteer will step in to answer your detailed questions (I’m not sure what “category” selection has to do with widgets, for example–it’s been a long time since I set up most of my widgets)

    But, re your question about making the logo appear on the left side, i noticed in your theme’s description that it supports four widget areas at the top of the blog, surely if you use the leftmost area, the logo would show up there?

    If that doesnt’ work, maybe you need to actually have at least one widget in all four of the areas before these areas will display across the page rather than centered in the middle. If that is the case, you might even try just putting blank text widgets in the other 3 areas to get the one logo to show up on the left?

    (here’s the info on your theme, scroll down it to find the widget info:)

    Good luck!

    If you are using the Image widget don’t page in any code, just paste in the link to the image.

    Or use the Text widget and paste in the code you wrote earlier.

    As ingridcc said your theme Ryu only allows a single column, so you can’t have the image on the left of your posts (you can put it above though). Some themes that would work are these https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/features/left-sidebar+white+custom-header+featured-image-header/?sort=free

    @sebastianberndtpol
    Sorry, but no one will notice your question here, it does not relate to the topic of this thread. (I don’t know the answer to your question.)

    You need to start a new topic in this forum, with your problem in the title, and also click “notify me of followup posts” before you click “submit” so that you will get an email when someone replies to you. Good luck!
