Widgets gone walkabout

All my widgets etc have disappeared from my sidebar and now appear tagged on to the end of my posts. How can I put them back where I want them?
Wondering if this a consequence of the stupid ‘block’ system recently imposed? I have stuck to the Classic layout where ever possibleSite: https://reverendhellfire.wordpress.com.

The widgets on your site remain in the sidebar widget area. I find them there on your homepage, About page, single posts, and archives pages.
What you’re reporting is due to viewing the site on a device with a sufficiently small screen. On small-screen devices the sidebar widget area is relocated in the footer area for a practical reason, because showing both the content of a page or post and the sidebar widget area would tend to make the text in both of them too small to read. I believe the shifting of the sidebar to the footer area when browser window or the screen reaches a certain narrowness is an aspect of responsive design, even though the theme might not be considered a responsive design theme. I don’t know if there were any of those in 2006 when ChaoticSoul was introduced.

Thanks for responding musicdoc. Unfortunately I am more confused now. To be clear, I am viewing my site on a large screen, the same screen I always use and until about a week ago had no problem viewing the sidebar, until all of a sudden, for no apparent reason, the sidebar was empty and everything there was now shunted to the bottom of each post, except for the homepage where it doesn’t appear at all.
