widgets keep disappearing

  Every time I go back into the customizer to add a widget or to edit one it removes all of the widgets I set up the last time. Is there a fix for this?

  Do not use the customizer. Go directly to → Dashboard → Appearance → Widgets

  Also be aware that widgets have visibility settings that determine which pages they display on https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/#widget-visibility
