Widgets make the site crash
-
I’m running a blog with WP-theme Classic blog and now I can’t make changes in my widgets without the page crashing. I got a auomatic mail from WP that says that it’s the Mail Chimp-plugin that causes the problem, but I’ve been using that plugin for allmost a year without any problems. I’ve tried to deaktivate all the plugins but the problem remains. I’ve tried changing the theme. I’ve tried installing a health check plugin. Nothing works! Does somone have a clue?

Hello there,
Many thanks for reaching out.
Are you able to confirm the URL of the website that you need assistance with please?

Hello there,
I can’t see that this site is hosted with WordPress.com, but I’ll do my best to point you in the right direction.
I got a auomatic mail from WP that says that it’s the Mail Chimp-plugin that causes the problem, but I’ve been using that plugin for allmost a year without any problems.
Have you tried deactivating the Mail Chimp plugin to see if that is indeed the issue?
Many thanks.

Thanks! Sorry if I’m in the wrong forum. I’ve tried deactivating all plugins, incuding Mail Chimp.

Hey Jenny,
Are you on the newest version of WordPress (5.8)?
I wonder if one of your plugins is conflicting with the newest version all of a sudden.
Since you on a self-hosted version of WordPress, I would post in the dotorg community forums, as they are great at providing support for WordPress.org sites.

Thanks!
