Widgets missing on homepage

  Hi,

  I’m using the Dara theme. I have added a sidebar widget.

  This sidebar widget is not shown on the homepage (“startseite”). It is shown on other pages, like https://praesenzundkompetenz.wordpress.com/ueber/

  Both pages use the standard template.

  When I set “ueber/” as the homepage, then “ueber/” the widgets are missing but they appear on the previous (“startseite”).

  What can I do to make widgets appear on all pages, incl. the homepage?

  Hi Georg – the static front page in Dara does not display the sidebar widget, only the three footer widgets.

  Thanks for your reply, Kathryn! So there’s not way to make the sidebar widget appear on the homepage in Dara?

  The only way to make the sidebar widget area appear in Dara would be to display your posts on the front page.

  You might want to try Sela instead – it’s Dara’s sister theme, so the design is similar, but it would allow you to have a sidebar widget area on a static homepage.
