Widgets move but dont stay

I updated Java thinking that might be the problem, but it did not solve it. I can move widgets, they don’t click half the time though. But when they do, and I select and drag them to drop in my sidebar, they disappear as if I didn’t drag it there at all. Any ideas. Mouse buttons don’t make any difference, I tried everything.

The problem you are experiencing could be a browser issue.
(1) Which browser and version of it are you using?
(2) Have you used these troubleshooting techniques? If not, please do so now.

Till you solve that, you can click Screen Options (while on the Widgets screen) and enable the “accessibility mode”: it will give you a more foolproof “add” button next to each widget.

The accessibility mode worked, thank you! I can do everything just fine on the internet except move those widgets and get em to stay! :-) I’m on a new-ish laptop.
