Widgets not aligned right in sidebar

    ACK!

When I drag almost any widget into the right sidebar of this theme, the alignment is all messed up. I tried increasing the width of the sidebar just in case that was the problem, and nothing worked.

What is also really weird is that it looks fine when I’m logged in and working on the page, but when I signout and look at it, it’s misaligned.

Lastly, the CSS template looks atrocious in IE but looks fine in Mozilla. In IE, the heading graphic is shifted slightly to the left leaving a weird looking white space inside the div. I barely know CSS well enough to know how to fix this or if it’s even fixable. I am so frustrated. Please help.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It appears that you have increased the sidebar, but not the main column or the whole blog.

I’m not convinced that’s the problem. I just widened the whole thing even more, and the stupid text field for “enter your email” for logged out users just keeps getting wider. The text at the bottom is also spreading out too. It just keeps spreading out beyond whatever width i set. It won’t stay a static size and I don’t know how to edit the widgets beyond what the drag and drop interface gives me. I am not a self-hosting word press user so I am not able to change as much as just a wordpress.com account holder. I don’t know enough about CSS to know what small error I may have made.

It also isn’t all widgets with text area. It seems that the ones giving me trouble are the text widget and the email subscription widget. The search one has a text area field but it doesn’t seem to insist upon stretching beyond whatever width i’ve set. Maybe I can’t use that widget with this theme?

    hi,
fyi.. i had a similar kind of problem when i had more content and so i started doing the same way.. Drag the window, but after closing my account.. there seems to be a problem with the browser.

I think its a CSS issue and you have to solve this in the code.

Generally browsers issues do come like this only and they can be rectified.

It did get better somewhat when I upgraded Internet Explorer and Firefox. It isn’t perfect though. The text area bar is still a little bit too long for the sidebar. I wish there was a way to edit the widget to make the text bar shorter. I’ve tried editing the css but maybe I’m not doing it in the right places. Anybody have any more specific advice?
