Widgets not appearing in sidebar

A few days ago I moved from Blogger to WordPress. I set up my widgets in the sidebar of the Twenty Eleven theme – they were showing and working when I set up this template.
However today when I sent out my ‘first’ wordpress post the widgets are not there when clicking on the email notification! I’ve tried to google hoping to find someone who can give me a solution. I’ve seen a few suggestions but many are too complicate for me. Did figure out how to do one of them but it didn’t help. Also I have cleared my cache – one of the other suggestions.
If I bring up my site by putting in my URL (growinginfullness.wordpress.com) then the widgets are there! But by email subscription they are not there nor do they show when I click on the bit.ly shortened link (http://bit.ly/MgcetH) that I shared on my facebook page today.
Help! This is frustrating!

Emails are not necessarily as wide as blog templates. I think that’s what you’re running into here. They appear to be displaying just fine on the blog itself.

I agree emails would not be as wide as a blog template. But when I click on the title link of the full post in the email notification it then takes me to the online post (http://growinginfullness.wordpress.com/2012/06/16/woman-washing-his-feet-part-1/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+GrowingInFullness+%28Growing+In+Fullness%29) – if you try this you will see the widgets are not there. Is this the way email links to a blog post are supposed to work?
Did you happen to try the bit.ly link? Did you see my widgets? If you did then maybe something is wrong with my computer.
I have a friend whose wp blog posts I get through email notification. I can read her whole post in my email or I can click on the title link to go to her wp blog. Clicking on her email title link takes me to her blog and I see her widgets included.
It seems the way my blog works right now that those who subscribe will not have other options when visiting my blog through this kind of notification. Maybe there is something I need to change on Feedburner?

That is just the way your blog theme works. You can change your theme on the Dashboard under Appearance->Themes.

Since I am new to WordPress and don’t know all the themes’ features and ease of use – do you have any suggestions I might consider? Would sure like the widgets to work at all times! Thanks so much.

I believe the website http://wpbtips.wordpress.com has a list of which themes show the sidebar on all pages.

Didn’t see a list of themes with sidebars but did go back to wp themes and tried out a bunch. Think I found one that may work! Thanks for all your help and time!

Thanks justpi! The links you shared are very helpful. Wouldn’t you know the one I spent so much time setting up doesn’t show the sidebar on the static page – i.e. Twenty Eleven (which is listed in the link you gave).
Found one last night (prior to seeing your reply) that shows widgets on the static pages – Grisaille. This one wasn’t mentioned in the post among those showing sidebars on dynamic/static pages. I’m figuring it is new as a comment in that post stated new themes come out all the time. Breathing a sigh of relief today!

But Twenty Eleven can’t display the sidebar when you view a single post; when you view a static page it can.
