Widgets not displaying correctly
-
Just switched from the Forever theme to the Toujours theme because Forever stopped formatting correctly. Now, I can’t seem to get any sidebar widgets to display. I had Search, Recent, Archives, Categories, and Meta on the old theme, displaying just as needed. But now, even though they appear when I click on the widgets menu in the controls, they won’t display at all on my site. Please help.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi jps8z,
I see all your widgets on your site now. They are displaying at the very bottom of your website. Have you scrolled all the way down?

Hi James,
That’s part of the issues I’ve been having. In the past, my blog only showed around 10 new posts at a time. Now, not only is it showing them all (loading them whenever I scroll down), they’re out of order. This makes it impossible to get to the widgets. Perhaps if we could get it to stop doing that, the widgets would display right. Any suggestions?
Thanks,

All support docs are here https://en.support.wordpress.com/
Please see https://en.support.wordpress.com/show-your-posts-in-chronological-order/
Blogs are essentially a reverse chronological order publishing tool wherein the most recent published post will display on top. You cannot change this order on a free hosted WordPress.com blog. There is no upgrade that allows you to change this post order on a free hosted WordPress.com blog. It’s designed to serve your visitors as they come to read the most recent posts and will not be inclined to trawl through hundreds of posts to locate it.
See here for the option of creating a book-like structure > http://en.support.wordpress.com/write-a-book/ Perhaps that will work for you.
Or you could use a single sticky post as an index page > http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-visibility/#sticky-posts
Or you can falsify every date-stamp before publishing.
Creating a page and using the display posts shortcode https://en.support.wordpress.com/display-posts-shortcode/ on it will apply only to 100 posts
All Posts are found here > Dashboard > Posts > All Postshttp://NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php
*replace “/NAME_OF_BLOG” with the actual name of your blogYou hover over the title of the post and click the Edit link, then edit the datestamp in the Publish module and click update.
Note that you can examine these images so you see how to edit posts and change datestamps and timestamps where required.

Note also that if you create sticky posts they will always be on top https://en.support.wordpress.com/post-visibility/#sticky-posts unless or until you edit and remove the sticky designation. All widgets support docs are found here https://en.support.wordpress.com/category/widgets-sidebars/

I see Apostrophe 2 on your site at https://jpjam.wordpress.com/ and the posts look like they’re in reverse chronological order, as expected.
Please let me know if you still need help with anything.
