Widgets not recognised

  For some reason I can’t get my widgets to work (I’m hosted on wordpress.com). For example I tried to add this widget for Twitter (http://twitter.com/widgets/html_widget) but when I add it using a text widget in my sidebar, after I click ‘save’ I go back to view the code and all the javascript is gone. This has happened with other scripts not just Twitter. If there something I am not doing? Is the theme I am using faulty? Or do I need to add something to my CSS? Please help!

  I just read in another post that javascript is not allowed. Is there any other way I could get a Twitter widget on my blog?

  Use the RSS widget and put the RSS of your Twitter feed into it. There’s a long thread in the forum on it if you do a search.
