widgets not showing

  I have tried everything I can think of to get my widgets to show, but I can’t figure out why my widgets are not showing in my sidebar.

  They are added as normal in the widget area (I have many wordpress sites and never had this problem before).

  Does anyone have any ideas?

  What are the Visibility settings, and which widgets have you put there? Have you double checked the theme details? https://wordpress.com/themes/hum/

  I can see widgets in your footer just fine.

  ahh. that is the issue.

  I thought the “main sidebar” referred to the actual sidebar and the “footer” refers to the actual footer. In this case that is not true as all my widgets are in the area named “main sidebar” which is actually the footer.

  so confusing!
