Widgets not showing on Autofocus

Hi–my widgets aren’t showing on my autofocus blog homepage windowsin.wordpress.com. This is my first time trying to set these up–they are all saved and showing in the sidebar on back end “widgets” page. Any thoughts? Thanks.

In Autofocus the following applies:
Widget-enabled sidebars are enabled on all pages.
Single post sidebars will in lieu of widgets show important post metadata.If you haven’t added any widgets to your sidebars, the theme will show a default set of widgets, which will not be listed in the Sidebar area. Once you activate any widget Appearance > Widgets the default set is cancelled and you have to select and add the widgets of your choice >
Widgets and the no-widgets paradox -
On the Appearance>widgets menu I have dragged the widgets I want into the primary sidebar section, but still nothing is showing up on my homepage. Do I have to do another step to activate them?
