Widgets not showing on Front Page widget area

  Hi, I am using the theme Twenty-Twelve. The widgets from the front page widget area are no longer showing up. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks.

  Hi there,

  Have you checked your widget visibility settings?:

  Widgets

  It sounds like widgets may be disabled on the front page, but you can re-enable them by following the steps in our support page linked above.

  Thank you, I think this is probably the right track… only the custom widget area does not give me the option of the Front Page Widget… only the side bar widget. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

  Hi there,

  I found the issue. On this particular theme, you need to set the Home Page template to the Front Page here. Then, you’ll be able to see the widgets you added on the front page.
