widgets not showing up on blog

  I have to create a blog for my class and I need to create 5 RSS widgets on my blog. I have added them under appearance, widgets and dragged RSS to footer sidebar 1. I have saved it with a proper URL and when I go to on blog it doesn’t show up. I go back to the widget and they are saved. what am I doing wrong. I am using a Apple Mac….is that the problem?

  What RSS feeds did you put in the widgets? Until they’re configured correctly, they won’t share.

  And what’s the URL of the blog you’re talking about? http://tmapara16.wordpress.com/ is using Newsworthy, and Newsworthy doesn’t have footer widget areas.
