Widgets not visible on category pages and homepage

  I use the theme Visual. My widgets are only visible at pages and not at categories. Also my main page doesn’t show any widget. I tried to work with the button visibility but that doesn’t do anything. I have a feeling it is because I have now more content and they take three columns, so there is no space for the right “sidebar” with widgets? Please help me… Thank you

  Have you verified that your theme is meant to show the sidebar in those places?

  Yes… it says

  Widgets: You can configure a sidebar on single posts and pages by going to Appearance → Widgets.

  Your theme only allows the sidebar on individual posts and pages. Not on the main blog page. Not on category pages.

  o nooo :( Thank for your help so far… Maybe you do have a suggestion for me for a likewise theme (columns with pictures and text preview) with the possibility to have the widgets visible on all pages?

  Afraid I don’t know how most themes work. You can Preview them yourself.

  i think you should modify your tempates or you have to put them active
