Widgets not working & Menus not updating after theme switch

  After switching themes, the widgets in the sidebar are not working properly. Menus are also not updating when I make changes. I have deactivated and reactivated plugins. What do I need to do?

  I got the site updating when I make changes but am still having problems getting the widgets in the sidebar to work properly.
