  can I add widgets to my homepage and not my secondary page which is about me?

  No. That’s not how your theme is designed. If that’s what you want switch to another theme.

  According to the theme documentation here:

  Blissful Blog offers a sidebar template on single page, archive, and search views

  That is why the sidebar will not ever show up on your homepage.
