Widgets on Sidebars won’t go away
-
All of a sudden, a left sidebar showed up, listing Pages and Categories. In an effort to figure out where they magically came from, I removed ALL Widgets yet, I still have things I don’t want (or, would like to be able to control) showing up on my pages:
1. left sidebar… duplicating tabs at top of page
2. entries RSS and comments RSS showing up below my headerI am comforted that I know how the Links in the right side bar got there (I made them on purpose and understand how I did so).
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Is this the blog you are talking about http://evfabrics.wordpress.com/ ?
Digg is a three-column theme with left and right sidebars (sidebars 1 and 2) and a central column for content.
Under appearance > widgets, if you have no widgets showing in sidebars 1 and 2, what you are seeing is a sample set that is generated by the theme itself so that you will know what the theme looks like with look like. The sample set for 1 or 2 will disappear once you add at least one widget to sidebar 1 or 2. You can then add in the other widgets you desire on each sidebar and arrange them as you wish.
If you want no widgets to show in the left sidebar, put an empty text widget into that sidebar and no widgets will show in that sidebar.
