Widgets & Pages ??

    Hello –
    The about.me widget says that after 7/1/2016 it will no longer work – is that because you have to pay for the widget? there was a change in the contract? do you have to renew this every 30 days? How do I get this fixed?

    I setup my blog so along the top there are clickable words that would categorize my posts. I did this using the pages option. Now, if I want to create a new blog post and make it post to one of those pages – how do I do that? Currently anything I post goes to the main page, if I categorize it – it does not go to the page.

    I use the free version.

    It looks like the About.me widget is no longer going to be actively maintained by the developer, About.me. So WordPress.com will also discontinue its use and availability.

    I believe the alternative now would be to use Gravatar

    You’re almost there. Instead of creating a Page named for the Category that you want posts to show up under, try this method…

    • create a new menu (or edit an existing one).
    • Clicking ‘Add items’,
    • Look for the ‘Categories’ tab
    • Select the category you want to use as a menu item
    • Drag menu items to order/reorder
    • Save
