Widgets showing below posts instead of to the right
-
I have just switched to the theme The Journalist v1.9 and I’m having a problem getting my sidebar to display correctly.
I removed a few of the widest text widgets that were on the old theme, but still the sidebar is showing below instead of to the right. Is there anything else I can try short of removing every text widget and replacing one by one? Is there a way to find out how wide of a text widget is allowed in a sidebar?
Thank you.

Take a look at the FAQ http://faq.wordpress.com/2008/05/30/why-is-my-sidebar-at-the-bottom-of-my-posts/ for possible causes.

Thanks for that, raincoaster.
It’s fixed now. What I eventually did was to remove everything from the side bar (which I had “backed-up” by copying all text widgets as raincoaster suggested yesterday to me in a previous post) – set the posts to show only one at a time and then ran through one by one.
Turns out there were a few posts which had a photo too large for the new theme. I’ll now add the sidebar widgets back one at a time to make sure they all fit too.
Again, is there any way to find out the max. photo size any given theme will take and also the max. sidebar content width?

If you look in the FAQ under images, there is a list of the maximum sizes of photos in each theme.
