widgets, text box and html codes

I have several text boxes that refuse to show the image that it is ment too. I have no idea how to the read html codes.
So I cannot undserstand what is wrong with these ones? I have several others that work ok.

– To display code here, enclose it between bacticks.
– If a code of this type doesn’t work:

change it to this version:
<img src="URL"></a>– The “center” tag doesn’t work: remove it.
– Make sure you’re only trying plain html codes: javascript or iframes aren’t allowed.

can you please explain that in seriously dumb terms? I have no idea at all about the codes. It may as well be in spanish….

Explain which one of all? Perhaps you could start by properly showing us the codes that won’t work: write a backtick, then paste the code, then another backtick. That’s what produces the frames you see above.

ok as you can see the first one worked but the other two won’t.

Backticks, not slashes! See below the text editor here for what a backtick is. (In my keyboard it’s on the key with the “~” but it’s not so in all keyboards.)

Now you’ve got me a bit confused: you gave two different codes for the “Back to Basics” banner – the one a plain image, the other linking to Belinda’s.
If you want the plain one, the code needs the change I showed in my first post:

Copy and save these models somewhere, so you can check and correct things yourself in the future:

(Code for linking image. URL1 is the address you want to link to, URL2 the address of the image.)You can also include the border command if you want a black border around the images. And of course these are ok for images narrow enough to fit in the sidebar: if you must resize an image to make it fit, you have to add an extra command, but I hope you don’t need that now.
