Widgets to display on all pages and posts

  I just switched to the Twenty Eleven theme. On my old theme (Quintus) the widgets I selected for the right hand column displayed on all pages—my home page, other pages and individual post pages. Now I only see those widgets when I am on the home page or another page, but NOT when I click on an individual post. How do I add it to those pages so that those who find my blog through a post can see all the categories, follow the blog button, etc?

  Also, is there a way to delete the About Me widget that appears at the bottom of the post pages?

  Actually, the widgets only show on the home page, not even on other pages…
