Width Issues

    I am struggling with controlling the width of blocks. Specifically, WordPress doesn’t seem to allow me to control how wide things are.

    ex- When I have text displayed next to a picture, both the text and the picture reach all the way to the sides of my screen. However, if I want to continue the text beneath that with a ‘paragraph’ block the text is maybe 60% of my screen width but that makes it look like a whole new idea instead of a continuation of the thought. (I know I can ‘pad’ the paragraph to make it smaller, but is there a way to make it bigger/wider?)

    ex- My header is supposed to justify some items on the left and some things on the right, but those only get about 70% of the way to the edge of the screen. Why?

    How do I control the total widths of these things???

    Sounds like I’m not the only one with this issue. It used to be no problem, but it is driving me crazy that I can’t get my paragraph block to be as wide as I want it to.

    I can see that your site has been deleted. Do you need help restoring that?

    One other suggestion I have is that you should consider registering a custom domain with your actual name since using it in this manner. That will prevent somebody else from buying it, and building whatever they want on the domain. This stuff happens regularly and it can negatively impact your life and/or business.

    Domains are included with the personal plan which is $4/month.

    Hi everyone!

    It sounds like you are trying to align an image with a piece of text but when the text is longer than the image the text is not floating around the image. If this is the issue please take a look at this doc: https://wordpress.com/support/images/image-alignment/
