Width of blog and not being seen on mobile devices
-
My wordpress blog is only showing/taking up half the screen. How can I make it larger/wider? How can I find out what the actual dimension is of the blog so when I create a post I can size it properly from the beginning? Also, my wordpress blog is not showing up on mobile devices, just personal computers… is there anything I can do to change this?
Thank you -
The posts seem to be fine to me. What you may be noticing is the space taken up by the sidebar. The posts don’t expand to fill the space once the sidebar has ended.
As for the mobile devices, it also seems to be working just fine. Which mobile device are you using?

I am checking my blog via my iphone…. it goes to my previous blogger.com blog. The latest blog posting I have on my wordpress.com blog is from a fine art boudoir session… is that what you are seeing when you look it up on a mobile device? On the blogger. com blog the first post you would see is of a bridal portrait session that was posted around Halloween.

No, I see your WordPress.com blog http://sonjarevellsphotography.wordpress.com/ with the “Fine Art Boudoir Photography Debut 2!!!” as the latest post.

I have had 3 customers tell me that they could not see the pictures from the blog….. it is not only my phone that the images are not showing up… I will try looking at it on my ipad which I just bought two days ago.
Also, tonight I was trying to create a new blog post the exact same way I have been doing…. using Blog Collage software from Fundy…. it has worked every time… but tonight when I am going through WordPress to select my image… it is not recognizing my image AT ALL. There are no error notices or anything… it does not even try to load. It just does nothing. I try with another picture and it loads fine… any suggestions? -
How did you reach my blog? Directly? I mean… when you type in my website and it says enter site, or enter blog…. when you click on blog…. it only shows my previous blogger. com site.
I JUST tried to access my blog from my new ipad… using the steps I just mentioned… and only my blogger.com site is viewable.
I need to understand what I need to do to fix this in laymen’s terms. I’m loosing business. I’m trying to hire an IT person to take care of things like this for me but to no avail yet. Ugh. :'( -
All I did was go to http://sonjarevellsphotography.wordpress.com/
Here’s what I see there: http://d.pr/i/eoj3/1rqqoSfU

That’s what I’m saying… If someone goes to my website… and clicks on my blog from there, then they cannot see the images. Also, if I put a link to my blog post on Facebook, and that person clicks on the link, they can only see the words and not the pictures.
If many people are telling me they cannot see my pictures then it is not just my phone or how I am accessing the blog.I think if you try and access the blog different ways (not a direct link as above) then you will see what everyone else is seeing.

I just tried to link my website using the “link” tool right here, but it does not appear that it went through.
my website is: http://www.sonjarevellsphotography.com
-
I just did that and still see the images.
Have you tried clearing your browser’s cache?
-
Yes… and I just looked it up again, on my brand new Ipad that I have only used the internet on twice. when I click on my blog, via my website… it is taking me to my OLD blogger.com site….
same thing on my cell phone.. -

Oh, I see what you mean on the mobile device.
You have an entirely different version of http://www.sonjarevellsphotography.com/ when viewed on a mobile device.
That link still points to the Blogspot blog. You’ll need to change that link.
-
I thought that I had done that. Why would my wordpress blog show up on some devices but not on others…? I would assume that I have changed the link properly if my wordpress blog shows up on some devices but not on others, because if I hadn’t done it correctly the blogspot.blog would show up entirely, no matter what device you look it up on. Either way…. would this be a link that I would change within wordpress?
-
If you go to http://sonjarevellsphotography.wordpress.com/ on a mobile device, you’ll see your WordPress.com blog.
The problem is that if you go to http://www.sonjarevellsphotography.com/ on a mobile device, it’s linking to your Blogspot blog, not your WordPress blog. We have no control over that.
